We want to change the  perception of dentistry by changing the way we work. We know dentistry can be an amazing thing that we can do for others. We believe dentistry has the power to change how people see themselves and can give confidence. We provide high-quality private dental health care and digital smile design. ConfiDental has been providing care to the people of Tipperary and North Cork since 2010, and we don’t plan to stop any time soon.

Along with our excellent team of nurses, receptionists and treatment co-coordinators, we have developed a modern practice offering the full range of general dental treatments. Our team are highly qualified and take special care of nervous patients. We are proud to be located in the center of Cahir. We support local businesses where possible. We continue to improve our treatments to minimise the environmental impact of dentistry.

We also offer dental implants and complex care for patients who need advanced dental work or dental rehabilitation.

Dr. Ryan Hennessy graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2006 and returned to Tipperary to establish ConfiDental after working and training in general and cosmetic practices in Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford.

  • Dr. Hennessy has been an active member of the dental profession and provides education and support to dentists through the Inspire Dental network.
  • He is the only Irish board member of Dental Protection Ltd, a company based in London who provide indemnity, support and education to dentists worldwide and a member of the Medical Protection Society.
  • Provider of Zimmer Implants having completed post-graduate training with Dr. Spencer Woolfe in the Harcourt Clinic Dublin.
  • Recently compelted Mastery training in short term orthodontics in London and is one of only two “Elite level” providers of Six Month Smiles short term orthdontic invisible aligners and tooth coloured braces.
  • Completed a 2022 Residency in Digital Smile Design with Dr. Christian Coachman.
  • In 2021, he was awarded Fellowship of the International College of Dentists (FICD) for ““outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.”
  • He has previously been chairperson of the General Practitioners Group of the Irish Dental Association
  • Honorary Membership Secretary of the Irish Dental Association, and a member of the council and executive of the IDA
  • Represented the association on the Practitioners Health Matters Program, a group who provide support to doctors and dentists dealing with the effects of stress, burnout, mental health difficulties or who may have an alcohol or drug misuse problem.
  • He has spoken at several national dental conferences and debated on topics such as independent practice, dental marketing and the future of dentistry.

Ryan is married to Danielle and they live near Fermoy Co. Cork. They have three children.
